If it is fun, yes. If it isn't fun, no. That's the only meaningful measure of "worth" in minecraft. 1 word: Mekanism. Mekanism reactors are relatively easy and can't explode, and if the injection rate is max, can go up to several Mrf/tick. Just be wary, you'll need several stacks of steel.

My fusion reactor setup was only set to produce ~1M RF/t. This used two thermal evaporation plants at max size (18 blocks tall) with resistive heaters (no solar panels). Then I had 5 neutron activators, with a buffer of 6 ultimate gas tanks afterwards for the tritium. I also had 14 max upgraded electric pumps for the heavy water / deuterium.
